Study 1 Week 5 Day 6 Review: A New Focus

Today we will weigh on a scale,(not right now, at the end of this exercise) but not again until the end of Lesson 9.

You will now focus not on the program to lose weight but on your relationship with God within your eating habits.

When you look at the number on the scale today, look at it not as an amount of weight that you lost or gained, but rather as a representative of the 5 things you learned about this week:
How does this number reflect your change in:
1. Looking ahead
2. Looking above
3. Looking to Jesus
4. Looking to God
5. God looking at me:

Write out your responses to these "what if's"
What if:
1. The scale shows a loss, how will that affect:
a) your emotions
b) your commitment to complete this study
c) your faith
d) your food choices

2. The scale stayed the same, how will that affect those same 4 areas?

3. The scale shows a gain, how will that affect those same 4 areas?

OK, now go weigh yourself. Do you need to change your calorie limits that you figured out earlier?
